Who We Are

Hytrol is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of material handling systems for a variety of industries. Since we were founded in 1947, we’ve dedicated ourselves to studying and pushing forward the industry we’re a part of. We seek to be a company people want to work with, want to work for, and want in the communities in which we do business.

The material handling industry is full of an incredible variety of technology that changes the lives of people every day. That technology carries medicine to hospitals, toys to children on their birthdays, and food to the stores you shop at every week. We’re proud to be a leader in material handling, and excited for what the future holds.

Our History

Hytrol was founded in Wisconsin in 1947 by Tom Loberg. We relocated to Jonesboro, AR in 1962 with 26 employees, and since then we’ve grown to more than 1,600. We are a privately owned company, as we’ve been since the beginning, and are proud to offer that stability to our employees, our partners, our customers, and our community.

Hytrol is coming off of some record years, and we’re reinvesting that money into our facilities and communities. We completed an expansion in 2016 that increased our facility to 660,000 square feet, and we followed it up with a renovation to our Technology Center in 2018 that increased our space to 45,000 square feet. In 2021, we started work in our second production facility in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

We’re proud of what we’ve done in the industry, and we’re dedicated to being a positive force in our community. You can find Hytrol teams in several charity events, including the Jonesboro Church Health Center Peach Drive, Walk MS, March of Dimes, and the United Way Day of Caring. Our employees help lead these efforts, carrying on the culture Tom created of empathy, humility, gratitude, and fun.

Tom Loberg once said he thought Hytrol employed “the best people in the world.” We work every day to live up to that legacy.
