Hytrol
Remains Strong

In all
likelihood, each of us will remember 2001 as 12 months of
unrest. The
faltering economy and the horrific events of September 11
will always come to mind when we reflect back on this year.
Many of us will, no doubt, breathe a sigh of relief
when the bells and whistles ring out this year and ring in
hope for 2002. But when
you compare Hytrol to our competition, there’s no doubt
that Hytrol is still strong and still shipping lots of
conveyors! Our
24 hour shipping service has not wavered in the least!
The trucks are still backing up to the stockyard
doors and leaving full of quality Hytrol product! How
does Hytrol do it? Its
really quite simple actually. . . Everything here is done
with a combination of employee dedication and commitment
to serving our customers needs.
Hytrol’s philosophy and the Hytrol vision statement
are not just words on paper or signs in the production area.
The members of our family have incorporated those
guidelines into everything we do. They have become a way of life. Hytrol’s
employees, from top management on down, remember the things
we have done that enabled us to reach our position as a top
conveyor manufacturer in the world.
And although there have been many changes over the
years, our main goal, that of total customer satisfaction,
remains our focus. Our
customers who have depended on Hytrol this year know what we
are talking about. We
have prevailed in 2001 and we are still strong.
We shall be there for them in 2002.

Model
190-ABEZ |

|
|
The
Hytrol
Model 190-ABEZ is a horizontal live roller conveyor
which uses the patented EZLogic® feature for
product accumulation.
With the EZLogic® system, there is no build
up of line pressure and products can be easily
removed from any location on the conveyor.
How the EZLogic®
feature works– The conveyor is divided into accumulation zones.
Each zone extracts power from a flat drive
belt that runs the entire length of the conveyor. The drive belt is pneumatically lowered away from the tread
rollers, causing product in that zone to stop.
Hytrol’s EZLogic® accumulation modules
sense product presence and control the accumulation
and release of product from the zone. |

| Sorting
with Belt Conveyors |

Belt conveyors are
usually best where we must divert a
package to a specific location in an
exact time frame.
Since there is less package
slippage on a belted unit, timing can be
more exact.
In the example
(left), the Hytrol ProSort 50/50 pusher
is being used with the Hytrol Model SB.
This pusher has been specifically
designed for use with this conveyor.
Pushing a box off a conveyor belt may
affect the belt tracking.
When pushing boxes over 15 to 20
lbs., a roller bed conveyor should be
used with a special smooth surface (low
coefficient of friction) belt which
allows a box to slide off easily.
The bottom side of this belt must
have a high coefficient of friction to
prevent it from sliding laterally across
the rollers. |
|
|
| Sorting
with Live Roller Conveyors |
When using live roller conveyors, timed sort
systems are less reliable since the boxes or
packages will slip somewhat on the live roller line.
An "Up-Date" photo eye can be used in
conjunction with the timed system. This resets the
time and compensates for box slippage.

Roller Conveyors:
Model 190-LR
Model 138-SP
Model 190-SP
A system of counting boxes may also be used to
sort on a live roller conveyors. With this type of
system, it does not matter if the box or package
slips on the rollers since they are counted each
time they pass a diverter station's photo eye. |
