Pop-up Star Turntable Rotator

PRODUCT CONVEYED:
Plastic Pallet; 36 in. long x 39 in. wide x 67-1/4 in. high.  Weight ranges from 300 lbs minimum to 1700 lbs maximum.  Pallets contain 5-gallon water jugs.

HOW “SPECIAL” IS USED:
Pallets are moved to a “Star Rotator” and rotated in 90 degree increments in a full 360 degree rotation.  The pallets are aligned to enable lift trucks to move the water filled jugs for loading on delivery trucks.

UNUSUAL SPECIFICATIONS:
The unit uses a nickel-plated chain due to the fact the conveyor is installed in a water environment.

OTHER INTERESTING FACTS:
All parts are powder paint coated or nickel-plated.  Unit also has a hinged chain guard to allow easy maintenance.

Distributor Happenings
Babush holds open house at new facility

Babush Material Handling Systems, a Hytrol distributor since 1957, recently held an open house to show off their new building, located in Sussex, Wisconsin. This new headquarters for Babush includes approximately 5,000 sq. ft. of office space including an educational training room.  A test/set-up area was also added to enable customers to see various materials handling equipment and to test their own product.

Conveyors & Drives holds annual "Pig out" to honor suppliers

Conveyors & Drives, Inc., a Hytrol distributor for over 30 years, recently held their annual “pig out.”  Gary Ashley, president of the firm, and his team organize this event each year to honor their suppliers.  On hand for this year’s barbeque were about 130 people.  C & D has been providing the “pig out” for the last 18 years.

Gary Ashley related how the event is a time of fellowship, where we invite our suppliers in for fun and food and just to say “thank you” for doing business with us this year.

Those attending from Hytrol were Gregg Goodner, Hytrol President, Bill Hawthorne, V-P Marketing, Dean Vinson, Manager of Distributor Development, Mike Lee, Distributor Representative, Team One, Joe Boon, Sales Team One, and Susan Mote, System Engineering.


On August 25, 2001, a party was given to celebrate Hank Linker’s twenty-fifth anniversary with Advanced Equipment Company.  Hank worked as a sales coordinator and handled the warehouse during his first five years with AEC.  When more sales coverage was needed, Hank asked for the job and became a sales representative.  He has been a major contributor to Advanced Equipment Company’s growth over the years and continues to be a productive member of the firm’s sales organization.

In the presence of his co-workers and their families, Larry Abernathy, President of AEC, presented Hank a ceramic eagle honoring 25 years of dedication to excellence.  Hank is the fifth active employee to receive this honor.  Hytrol extends our congratulations to Hank.

Members of Hytrol’s Sales and Marketing teams recently paid a visit to Riekes Material Handling, Des Moines, Iowa, to honor Denny Troutman on his retirement.  Denny has been with the company for 26 years.  Hytrol’s guys presented Denny with a plaque and a special retirement card.  Since he and his wife will be moving to South Carolina, he was also presented with a book “How to Speak Southern!”

Mike Lee, distributor Representative for Team One, recently made a visit to Electro Mechanical Handling, Inc., in Lynchburg, Virginia.  Electro Mechanical Handling has been a Hytrol distributor since 1970.

A one-day marketing seminar was held at the Herkimer County Community College in Herkimer, New York, for members of the U.S. Materials Handling Corp. distributor team.  USMH personnel from Utica, Johnson City, Albany, and Syracuse attended the meeting.  Mike Lee, Distributor Rep from Team One conducted the meeting.

Congratulations to the alumni of Hytrol’s Conveyor Sales School number 151 on their recent graduation.  Nineteen distributor “students” attended the four-day school which was held at Hytrol International Headquarters in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  The school covered the “basics” of Hytrol’s product line and gave the distributors the chance to see Hytrol’s facilities and meet many members of the Hytrol family.
