Hytrol’s
new patent
pending SweepSort small item sorter can accurately track
and literally “sweep” problematic items such
as cylindrical objects at rates up to 140 items per
minute.
This sorter utilizes a composite modular cleated
belt with a sweep mechanism that allows previously
nonconveyable items to be sorted in stations as close as
12 inches apart (centerline to centerline).
This unique sorter is manufactured with Hytrol’s
pre-engineered modular design for quietness, reliability,
and affordability.
Typical products conveyed may
include:
• Cosmetics
• Pharmaceuticals
• Automotive parts
• Office supplies
• Electronic components
When your application demands a fast,
reliable sorting of the smallest most difficult items,
Hytrol’s SweepSort can get the job done.

Powered
Turntable
|
|
Although
not really a conveyor, the Powered Turntable is
nonetheless an important accessory in the Hytrol
line. It
is most useful when two parallel conveyor lines
must be installed side by side, sometimes only a
foot or two apart, and a 180° turn is needed at
one or both ends.
In this respect, the turning radius is held
to a minimum.
It is less than would be available if
gravity or powered curve conveyors were used.
The turntable is
equipped with a turntable plow and guard rails to
insure product safety while negotiating the turns.
The unit is reversible and all bearings are
sealed. The
table top speed at the drive wheel is 190 FPM.
Capacity is 500
lbs total distributed load.
The maximum unit load is 150 lbs.
Top of table height is adjustable from 28
in. to 40 in.
Radius (at drive wheel) is available in 21
in., 27 in., or 33 in.

Using Live Roller Curve
Conveyor with Tapered Rollers
|
|
|
|
|
When
it is imperative boxes or product stay oriented
when moving around a curve in the line, TAPERED
ROLLERS should be used.
A tapered roller is smaller in diameter on
the inside radius than the outside.
This provides a “differential” action
which keeps the boxes moving around the curve
until they reach another straight section.
|
However, boxes should be spaced to allow the
rollers to function properly.
If boxes go through in a “train” (front
to back) they may not stay oriented.
|
|
|
|
|
Boxes or products moving at a high rate of speed
also will not negotiate the curve.
|
Long boxes, cases, etc. may also have trouble
staying oriented in the curve.
These type products may not feel the effect
of the tapered rollers until enough of the package
moves into the curve section.
