Hytrol Special:  PREZ on 8in. Zones

In the majority of situations, the products moved on conveyors are normally boxes, cases, totes, etc., which are fairly sturdy items. Soft products are a bit more sensitive and require special handling. This unit was designed to accumulate packages of napkins with no back pressure.

This special Hytrol Model PREZ has 8 in. zones, using the retro-reflective design, and 2 in. roller centers. The curve portion of the unit is a special Hytrol Model PREZC with close tapered roller centers. The unit also incorporates a gate allowing passage of workers.

It was October, 1967, when the first publication issue of the Hy-lites was published. Before that, the "Hy-lites" was a small, usually one-sheet letter sent out to inform Hytrol distributors of Hytrol news and happenings. With this first newsletter format, the Hy-lites became an important sales tool for the Distributor Network. And although the Hy-lites appearance has changed with the times, the format continues to be basically the same.

Conveyor application continues to be the main focus of the Hy-lites. Since that first issue, well over 400 major conveyor installations, or "case histories," have been published in the newsletter. There are also "Specials" featured from time to time which shows Hytrol’s versatility.

Hytrol distributors and their news is also an important part of the Hy-Lites. Stories of Hytrol’s people, plans, and projects are also featured. New conveyor models, promotions of key personnel, Stockyard information, and important announcements are mandatory to keep our distributors informed.

So, here we are at issue 400, still doing what we started out to do and, we hope, getting better all the time. We at Hytrol sincerely hope you have enjoyed the Hy-lites over the years and have found it to be a useful and important part of your Hytrol association. Thanks to you, we’ve made it to Number 400 and we know we’ll reach Number 500. It’s our Hy-lites and yours!

Over thirty years of Hy-lites. From the first issue in October, 1967, to October of the years 1977, 1987, and 1997, the Hy-lites continues to be Hytrol’s first line of news. Here’s to another thirty years!
