Stockyard proud of their record!

Since 1964, Hytrol has offered stock conveyors shipped in 24 hours, or less. In 1967, the on-time shipping percentage was made public to show everyone that Hytrol can do it! With the Stockyard’s move to Jonesboro, that hasn’t changed. Large signs are on prominent display near the shipping area, showing everyone the Hytrol stockyard ON-TIME 24-HOUR SHIPPING PERCENTAGE!

The Jonesboro Stockyard continues to prove they are the leaders when it comes to fast conveyor shipments. 100 percent in 2000 is without a doubt the best in the industry. Each day, members of the Stockyard team work hard to satisfy the needs of customers who need quality conveyors quickly. They prove time and time again there’s no Stockyard like Hytrol’s Stockyard!

Today’s current display tells everyone Hytrol shipped 100% ON TIME in 2000! An old clipping from a 1970’s era Hy-Lites, right, shows an employee placing the monthly percentage on the board.

Conveyor of the Month

Model 2511-CREZ

Hytrol’s Conveyor of the Month is the Model 2511-CREZ. This unit is a chain driven live roller conveyor designed to handle loads such as pallets, drums, etc. Items are accumulated with "Zero-Back Pressure," which reduces the possibility of collisions that may result in product damage.

The Hytrol 2511-CREZ features the EZ-Logic® accumulation system, providing accurate, reliable, zero-pressure accumulation. The EZ-Logic conveyor is made up of standard 60 inch long accumulation zones. Hytrol’s EZ-Logic accumulation modules sense product presence and control the accumulation and release of product from the zones according to your specifications. The 2511-CREZ also features chain driven rollers, 4 ga. formed steel frames, and adjustable floor supports.

Application Information

Positioning cartons using skewed rollers

There are situations in the world of material handling when justifying products to one side of the conveyor is important. Some of these situations include preparing the product to be sorted with pushers or pop-up diverters, positioning the product for label applicators, or preventing narrow products from getting side by side on wide conveyors. One good and simple method of justifying cartons to one side of a conveyor is to use a skewed roller section. The required length of the skewed roller section necessary to make sure all products are justified may be calculated using the following formula:

SAMPLE PROBLEM:
Given:
a 190-ACC 28" OAW
conveying boxes from 8" wide x 13" long to 20" wide x 29" long
Find: The length of the skewed
section using a 3" skew required to position all boxes to one side.
Solution: The box with the
most potential side travel is the narrowest box.
BR = 28" OAW -3" = 25 inch BR
Max Side Travel= 25" BR - 8" Box Width = 17"

Keep in mind that some type of low friction guide rail will need to be positioned on the side to which you are positioning product. Also remember that product flow may be affected in the skewed roller section, therefore, any gapping of the product should be done after justifying.
