Model TA

Hytrol’s Model TA horizontal belt conveyor is the most popular and most utilized conveyor in the Hytrol line. The TA was unveiled in 1961 and customers quickly saw the potential in this versatile unit. It has been used in almost every kind of manufacturing, product handling, and warehousing application. It’s uses include sorting, packing, inspection, assembly line operations, testing, etc.

The model name "TA" is derived from the word TAble or table conveyor because of its simple table like design. Because the unit’s design is not complex, it’s uses and applications are many due to its versatility. Lengths in a variety of sizes linked with conveyor belt widths ranging from a narrow 6 in. to 24 in. wide. Wider widths can be engineered for special applications. Drive configurations range from a standard 4 in. or 8 in. dia. end drive to a neat and compact optional side mounted drive where low conveyor elevations are necessary. A center drive or overhead end drive can also be supplied.

Add to this that the Model TA can be shipped from Hytrol’s Stockyard within 24 hours and you have a conveyor that just cannot be topped.

Will the box tumble--?

When tall boxes must be moved down an incline, the potential for tumbling naturally increases. When the incline angle is too great, tall boxes will tumble.

To determine if a certain size box will tumble, a formula has been devised. Drawing at right shows the layout to the formula.

1. Draw conveyor angle and box size (Height and Length).
2. Find center of box by drawing lines "A" and "B."
3. Draw vertical line "C."
4. If line "C" falls within lower third, the box could tumble.
