Trout Fishing Trip

On March 16, 2000, two distributors representing each of the four regions arrived at Hytrol. A sales meeting was held and Bill Hawthorne, Vice-President of Marketing, recognized each distributor and Hytrol representative for their hard work and commended them for their achievements in 1999.

Those Hytrol distributors involved in the fishing trip were: Stan Witt, Hoj Engineering & Sales, Salt Lake City, Utah; Frank Tregan, WEPCO, Inc., Pittstown Township, Pennsylvania; Bob Frost, Cross Brothers, Rochester, New York; Mike Thorpe, Material Handling Equipment Co., Denver, Colorado; Scott Hovis, Advanced Equipment Company, Charlotte, North Carolina; John McDonald, Riekes Material Handling, Des Moines, Iowa; and Bob Munroe, W. W. Munroe Equipment Co., St. Louis, Missouri. Those from Hytrol who took part in the expedition were Mack Palmer, Carroll Wade, Greg Newsom, Donnie Davis, Shannon Davis, James Poe, Graham Starling, and Keith Britton.

The group left Jonesboro at 7:00 a.m. the following morning for Gaston’s Fishing Resort in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Following a quick lunch, the group was paired up, two to a boat accompanied by a guide and began a half-day fishing trip. Despite drizzling rain, the group managed to catch approximately 40 fish before the day was over.

The following morning, the group awoke to temperatures in the lower thirties and a strong possibility of rain. The day was scheduled as a 14 mile all-day float trip. Again, the group paired up and joined a guide. Many groups had their limit of six trout within the first hour of fishing.

By the day’s end, the guides estimated that as a whole, the group had landed around 350 fish. That tended to make the cool day a little warmer!

Despite weather more suitable for an Arkansas Duck Hunt, the Trout Trip was a success! Those of you who missed it, missed a wonderful time!

A Maintenance Seminar was held recently at Bastian Material Handling Corp., Indianapolis, Indiana. On hand to conduct the seminar for Hytrol were James Pendergrass, Mack Palmer, and Ernie Simpson.

Another school was conducted for IBT, Inc., at their Texas location. This was IBT/Hytrol School #3 and on hand for Hytrol were Dean Vinson and Lennis McClure.

Salesmen of St. Cyr, Inc., Lucedale, Mississippi, received instruction in H.E.R.O.E.S and HyCad from Hytrol representatives, Mike Garner and Dean Vinson.
