Hytrol SPECIAL

Dual Belt CCEZ

This unit was designed to transport and accumulate office panels (partitions) in various stages of assembly. The panels arrive in a "frame only" condition. As panels move from zone to zone, workers assemble components into the frame: clips, insulation, and ultimately the fabric covers. At the end of the 120 ft. (two, 60 ft. units) run, the finished office panel is discharged.

This unit uses a dual-belt design with 72 in. long zones. This is the first Hytrol CCEZ produced which allows the product to overhang the overall width of the conveyor.

Langley opens new Distribution Center

Hytrol Conveyor Company has had the pleasure of working with Langley Corporation, located in Burlington, Massachusetts, for over 47 years. During this time, both companies have grown together to serve the New England area. Langley has committed to provide complete system integration along with a major investment of warehousing Hytrol conveyors.

Under the new leadership of Jamie Cook in 1995, Langley established their Systems Integration Division outfitted with AutoCAD designers, sales engineers, and project management professionals. Their highly skilled team provides expertise in material flow, storage, ergonomics and operations improvement to customers in a broad range of manufacturing and distribution environments. This major service enhancement positions Langley with a complete product and solutions offering for their customers.

In 1999, Langley moved to a modern 5,000 sq. ft. office building in Burlington, Massachusetts. Utilizing the latest computer information technology, Langley's factory trained inside sales and customer service specialists help customers with product selection, configuration, availability and order status.

In parallel with their office move, Langley opened a 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Wrentham, Massachusetts. This new distribution center stocks Hytrol skatewheel and gravity conveyors along with related peripheral items. Langley also inventories a wide variety of material handling, shop, storage, and ergonomic equipment to better serve their end user and qualified reseller customers. Langley's conveyor inventory permits them to provide same day shipping, a tremendous commitment to servicing their customers. For additional ease of business, Langley offers online ordering capability. See their website at www.langleycorp.com.

Langley's marketing department plays a vital role of developing potential new customers. Steady growth of the business through advertising, blast faxing, telemarketing, mailings, and SIC development is their focus.

Hytrol offers our thanks to Langley for their commitment and hard work to stock Hytrol products and to provide complete system integration services to the New England market. We look forward to another successful 47 years of partnership.

Hytrol sponsored Conveyor Sales School No. 138 on Nov. 8-11 at Hytrol International Headquarters in Jonesboro. There were sixteen students from distributor organizations across the United States and the Southeast Asia area.

The school covered a variety of subjects including the "basics" of conveyors, how the Hytrol EZLogic™ accumulation conveyors operate, troubleshooting, and students were afforded the opportunity to meet many Hytrol Family members.

Also included in the curriculum was a pricing exercise and competition. A big Hytrol "Thanks" to all those who attended.

The Hytrol Marketing and System Engineering teams recently held two sales schools for members of the IBT sales force. Dean Vinson, Hytrol Distributor Representative for IBT, helped with the schools. The first school, top, was held in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and Dean was assisted by Eddie Taylor, far right, of the System Engineering group. School number two, bottom, was held in Wichita, Kansas, and Barry Sharp, standing at far left of Hytrol's System Engineering team, helped Dean with this school. Hytrol appreciates the attendance and participation of those who were enrolled in the schools.

This photo is of Scott Callihan, Distributor Intern, who completed his six weeks with Hytrol on November 12, 1999. Scott is shown receiving a plaque of appreciation from Hytrol President Gregg Goodner, right, for his hard work during the program. Scott's internship included three schools, two weeks in Production, and time with Engineering, Sales, and System Engineering. Scott is employed with Nelson Equipment Company of Shreveport, Louisiana. Scott lives in Baton Rouge and enjoyed his time at Hytrol. Scott loves to fish and Mack Palmer, Marketing Representative, took Scott trout fishing on Arkansas' White River while he was here.
