Hytrol SPECIAL

V-Belt Transfer

Hytrol has designed and built many specials for moving a wide variety of goods and products. This extended V-belt type transfer uses nine strands of V-belts to move rugs.

The unit consists of two extended type transfers, butted together to provide a 72 inch gap between conveyors. When a rug moves onto the transfer via the Model "ACC" live-roller section of the unit, the transfer "pops up" and moves the run across the 72 inch section to the other unit. The V-belt drops down and the rug is then moved to a rolling machine. The unit has been designed to cycle twice a minute.

The "ACC" section is 42 in. wide.

St. Louis Stockyard Shuts down . . . new Jonesboro Stockyard now in full operation.

September 20, 1999, was another notable date in Hytrol history. On this day, the Hytrol Stockyard in Jonesboro officially opened for business. The day marked the end of one era and the beginning of another.

In 1964, Hytrol opened the first conveyor stockyard in history in St. Louis, Missouri, with the promise of 24 hour shipments of stock conveyor. Although many scoffed at the idea and said it would never work, Hytrol made good its promise.

Now, thirty-five years later, Hytrol continues to improve its service to customers with the opening of the new Stockyard in Jonesboro, Arkansas. This new 75,000 sq. ft. facility is physically attached to the main Hytrol plant. Conveyor can literally be shipped from the same location where it is manufactured!

As the Jonesboro Stockyard began its first day of business, Sam Arfanella and Chris Paulsen, visitors from Wepco, Inc., a Hytrol distributor located in Pittston Township, Pennsylvania, toured the new facility. The FIRST ORDER received here as well as the FIRST ORDER SHIPPED OUT, was from Engineered Handling Systems of Memphis, Tennessee.

As we move forward, Hytrol continually looks for ways to improve its service to each and every distributor and customer. Hytrol still LEADS THE WAY!

A look inside the new Jonesboro Stockyard shows the tremendous inventory always in stock.

The Hytrol Stockyard team gathers to celebrate its first day of business.

Providing adequate and complete education for all Hytrol distributors is the goal of Hytrol's Marketing area. The 4-day school was held in Mexico for the benefit of Hytrol's distributors in Latin America. The school was well attended and covered the basics of Hytrol's product line as well as pricing, zero-pressure conveyors, and systems.

IBT, Inc., a longtime Hytrol distributor based in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, recently held an open house. Hytrol, along with about 40 other suppliers, was well represented at the show. There were numerous exhibits which showcased Hytrol conveyors, including a booth manned by Phillip Dunlap (Hytrol Customer Service, Team 1) and Dean Vinson (Hytrol Distributor Representative, Team 1).

Photo below shows a lift using Hytrol conveyor which was built by Vertical Systems, Inc., Walton, Kentucky. The lift is supplied to St. Cyr, Inc., a Hytrol distributor for over twenty years, located in Lucedale, Mississippi. The lifts are being used by Zeon Chemical, Inc. Left to right on photo are Steve Templeton, Vertical Systems, Jeff Brown, Zeon Chemical, Bob Barlow, Zeon Chemical, Bill Brown, St. Cyr., and Branden Mardis, Vertical Systems, Inc.
